Thank you for your interest in giving to JFSA and supporting our work to strengthen and enhance the quality of life of individuals and families in the Jewish and wider community.
For almost 75 years, Jewish Family Service Agency has been providing a comprehensive continuum of services to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families in Greater Vancouver. Through the compassion and generosity of our donors, we are able to assist our clients to: meet their basic needs of food, shelter and clothing; resettle and build a new life in Canada; find employment; meet medical, dental and emergency expenses; and, for seniors, allow them to remain living independently for as long as they possibly can.
We invite you to join us in empowering individuals to self-advocate while providing a support system to families throughout the Lower Mainland. Each contribution, in any amount, helps make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. Your gift helps us save a life as if we have saved the world — one client at a time.

What Our Clients have said about Our Services at JFSA
Daniel
“I kept on pushing but it wasn’t very positive thanks to the economic crisis, but JFSA was the push that I was looking for.” — Daniel
Daniel decided to move to Canada leaving his job in Spain as a mining engineer. At first he saw this as an adventure, but soon realized that his limited English was a significant barrier. Although he had been applying for positions, he was unable to find work. Through JFSA’s Employment Services Department, Dan met with a caseworker who found him a job in his field within weeks.
“When I got the call that I start next week, I was so happy, I was so emotional.”
Michael
“I was basically alone. The JFSA supplied me with support and gave me direction of where to go, and what to do.” — Michael
Michael initially came to know JFSA as a food bank volunteer, but during his fight with cancer and after the passing of his mother, he looked to JFSA for support. Your contributions helped JFSA assist Michael in finding subsidized housing and start his new life physically, emotionally and mentally healthy.
“I am capable of helping and because I received, I figured I can help in any way.”
Let us continue to work together to strengthen and enhance the quality of life of individuals and families in our community.
Thanks to the extraordinary support of our Friends and Visionaries, we can continue to work together and make a significant impact on people’s lives — one client at a time.
