JFSA provides a broad range of Employment Services to strengthen and enhance the quality of life of Jewish community members, including newcomers and Canadian job seekers who are trained professionals and tradespeople seeking employment in the Greater Vancouver area.
JFSA’s Employment Counsellors work with clients to develop individual Employment Action Plans to ensure that services are relevant to each client’s circumstances to enhance their employability.

Identifying Your Strengths
In this workshop, learn how to identify and focus on your strengths so that you will stand out from other candidates. Participate in a series of self-assessment exercises that will help you to develop a summary sheet with words and terms that you can use for your job search marketing materials.
Managing Your Canadian Work Search
Learn how Canadian employers search for and select job candidates. This workshop encourages participants to adopt a project management approach to the job search process, and shows them how to use various job search methods effectively. Develop a Professional Self-Introduction Statement (30 second summary), and learn why networking is a reciprocal and life-long skill.
Winning Interview Skills Canadian Style
Participate in interactive exercises that highlight the “Do’s” and “Don’ts” before, during and after the interview. Learn valuable interview tips, how to build rapport, and practice non-verbal communication.
Job Search Re-Boot
Find a job sooner by taking part in this workshop that will review the most effective job search strategies.
